Lander is especially odiferous tonight. Turns out, the sewage ponds are expelling an extrordinary amount of gas because of a combination of the temperature dropping and the drought.

It's pretty gross.

Ok, I'm working on a column and it needs the finishing touches on the first draft before I put it away for the night. Tomorrow will be a busy day!

September 2012 Column: Discomfort Food

Many have told me I have odd tastes when it comes to food. This may have started when I was very young, and my father taught me the proper way to eat a toasted cheese sandwich- with Miracle Whip^®©™ and strawberry jelly on top. This set me on my culinary course for life, and enabled my college creativity to blossom when developing recipes for my dining-on-a-dime lifestyle.

Sleep surprise

So, looking at the pictures of my sleep mask on the Phillips website, something looked ... off. When I put it on this morning after work, I realized that it had been given to me with the top head strap on upside down! I put it the correct way, and the mask fits much more snugly now. I slept five hours and I only vaguely remember getting up once.
