So, I use logmein.com to connect to my home computers from my work computer and remotely control them. At home, I use TightVNC to connect to my work computer and remotely control it from there. I was able to move my mouse about an inch before it the lag caught up and my cursor snapped back to where it started. I even quit out of Netscape hoping it would fix things, but it didn't. I panicked at first, thinking I'd have to power down my computer to regain control, but calmed down and realized that all I needed to do was pull the ethernet cable and regain control.
