I'd really like to sleep well tonight.

*sigh* Yes and no. I'm frustrated right now, because even though I know I'm sleeping better with the mask than without it, I'm not sleeping nearly as well as I know I could be. There was a few nights after I adjusted to the mask that were fantastic ... but no longer. I'm waking up more frequently at night and the mask is losing its seal often but if I tighten the straps any more, the skin on the bridge of my nose gets rubbed raw.

It won't be long until I go back for my 30 day evaluation, and I'm going to talk to them about what's going on. If things keep getting worse, I'll give them a call though.

Wish I could offer advice. I wear my straps far too tight, and they mark my face, but don't actually chafe it. I probably said this already, but wash the bastard, and wipe your face and the mask with a baby wipe before use - that improves the seal enormously.

... holy -?! When did lj get an italics button?!

I wash the mask daily; I was instructed to do so, so I do. I like the baby wipe idea though. I'm going to try that. I'm trying some 'liquid skin' on the bridge of nose to see if that helps any, and then tightening the straps some as well. This thing will save my life even if it kills me!

(And there'sbold, too!)

Your baby wipe suggestion did wonders; I also tightened the straps until the were just over the uncomfortable threshold.

I didn't notice any problems until 5; and I woke up because of something else anyway, not the mask.

*sigh* I feel nice.

Oh, huzzah! Also important - are you getting "rain out", ie condensation inside the mask? I have a heated tube thing to (mostly) prevent that. Sometimes in the wee hours I have to grab a tissue and mop out the inside of the thing - again, magic seal fix.

Luckily, no. But winter is yet to come ...
