Weekly Update

outsdrA whole lot of the same thing going on this week.
Still working hard to clear up the credit card mess at the hotel. You'd think that a duplicate batch being processed would be easy to sort, but no, it's not.
I got my grandfather's razor back! Let's take a look:

It's hard to tell, but it is much shiner and clean. I want to shave with it; but I also want it to stay nice and shiny. Ah well- I can always get it cleaned again!
It's so nice to have Doctor Who back on TV.
I bought a 4th generation iPod touch 8gb model from a friend of a coworker; she had bought it from someone else for $5 because the screen was shattered. I was asked if Icould fix it. I told them that I didn't know, because I'd never tried, and that I was afraid to make the attempt because I didn't want to ruin someone else's property. However, I'd pay her $5 for it, because I need to change the battery in my own iPod touch, a 3rd generation model, so it would be nice to have one to practice on first. If I ruined it, no big deal; if I fixed it, horray! iPod.
So, I ordered parts from Hong Kong, which were stupidly cheap, including a tool kit. I tracked down some instructions online, and the parts arrived today, so tomorrow night, I'm going to attempt to make the fix. Should be interesting. If I get it working, I'm going to give it to Andy for his upcoming birthday.
Andy still wants to move by the end of the year. And there are times when I really want to as well. Like this week, with all the messes I'm juggling at the hotel. Still, I'm making decent money right now, and I can't jump into anything without pre-planning it any more. I'm not young enough for that any more. It might happen, but I'm not going to force it.
The winners are announced this weekend in the 72 hour Script Fest. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, because I don't want to be disappointed- but still, I'm getting excited.
My projects this weekend are to clean out my vehicle so I can finally put the back seats into position again, and to paint some of the trim on the house to make it lok nicer. Maybe the skirting too, if I get really ambitious. I'll try to take pictures of everything.
