outsdrRAWR!!!! New Doctor Who sucks! Not like the quality we had in MY day!!!
I'm not sure what to make of Lawrence Miles. While he makes some credible points about the "modern" show, he simply loses me when he begins to rant about how there needs to be a return to the "classic" series purely historical episodes, that feature nothing but the Doctor as the sole alien or sci-fi element. To me, he seems to conveniently forget that these types of historical episodes haven't been made since the Troughton era.
Honestly, he just comes across as a sour old man sitting in a sour old room eating sour old grapes. As a writer, however, he's taken "Bitter Snark" to new artistic highs.
