Trying to do more writing

It's been over two years since I've written anything of any significance, for reasons I won't go into. I'm going to try harder to do so, just try to write something each day, no matter how long or short. Today, The theme seems to be dogs...

I don't know which is louder:
the fire whistle in this town
or the next door dog
singing along.

Bedtime

I like to fall asleep
holding my dog's paw.
