My three year old nephew has finally learned to take his pants down before using the bathroom. What he has not yet learned, however, is that it is inappropriate to pee off the top of the slide at McDonald's Playland.
You know I never thought about it, but I bet if I taught a child it was OK to pee out in nature (hikes, wilderness etc) that they might not comprehend that it is not ok to just pee anywhere you are playing. My nephew took forever to learn to stop playing and go to the potty... he was crapping his pants well into 4yrs old. He was almost potty trained and then his sister was born and then he kinda regressed.
