Yesterday, Andy surprised me by getting me a lifetime subscription to Lord of the Rings Online, along with all the expansions. Wow! We spent last night re-learning the game, since I haven't played since 2007.
I never really enjoyed WoW ... I like playing my games solo, or in very small groups of close friends, and WoW always seemed to be geared to larger groups.
With LOTRO, there's a lot to do solo, plus the enjoyment of seeing and experiencing places and situations from the novels. And it's prettier.
