An age old mystery solved
Dec. 17th, 2008 11:27 amIn the early 90s, WKGO radio in Cumberland, Maryland would play the same song every night at around 2 a.m. I never knew what that song was. Last night, I suddenly remembered one of the main phrases from the song (I don't wanna go down with the ship) and finally determined that the song was Down With the Ship (Slight Return) by Scatterbrain, from 1990.
Now, if I could just track down the song I heard once in 1996 in Newark, Delaware. All I remember is a sassy girl saying things like "Excuse me- if I paint my fingernails with whiteout." And it was definitely NOT Excuse me, mister by the execrable No Doubt.
