New Doctor

Apparently I missed the live announcement, which BBC America has listed to happen at 3 pm today ...

I've learned never to judge a Doctor by his photo, but even so, I have no problems with who was selected. Can't say I know who he is though, He looks a little like the guy who played Frobisher in Torchwood Children of Earth.

ETA: Well, duh he looks like him, because it was him.

Tumblr is really depressing me right now, because apparently I missed one hell of a show, ad the chance to see it happening with other fans all around the planet. *sigh*

It was on at 4 am here - we couldn't be arsed, and watched it when we staggered out of bed many hours later. It was the usual crap, with a particularly irritating presenter, although Capaldi was a deft interviewee.

Not according to the IMDB, though my poking around has just turned up an Italian-dubbed episode of "Hammer House of Horror" with lots of Doctor Who actors, so trying to find out was certainly amusing. :)
