One thing about working in the living room- Ike ADORES the company.
The couch and Ike's loveseat are perpendicular to each other, against adjoing walls, and their corners meet. So, he stretched out to get as close to me as possible, and then promptly fell asleep.
I wish I could sleep as well as he does.
A demonstration of why I occasionally call him "Long Neck".
Even Jinx had to have a nap.
I don't know how he twists like this without snapping his spine.
Last Saturday night at the hotel, I went out to shut the gate to the pool/hot tub area. The hot tub was supposed to be closed for repairs, but apparently had been filled with water and, because the area can't be locked, was used by some body (I suspect the owner's teenage son, who likes to have unsupervised hot tub parties out there late at night on weekends.)
Water had been tracked across the concrete from the hot tub to the hotel entrance, and froze to a sheet of ice that I didn't notice in the dark. I did a cartoon run in place for a few seconds, then went down hard on my hands and knees. The pants on my left knee tore, and I ended up with this lovely boo-boo.
I'm just glad it wasn't worse.
