So, this weekend, I read League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier, which makes me believe that Alan Moore has transcended this plane of reality. I understood very little of this amazing, yet inscrutable, book.

After finishing Kevin Smith's book last weekend, this weekend I broke into my vacationing friend's house (through a conveniently unlocked back door) and borrowed all of his Kevin Smith movies (except for Dogma, which I've seen numerous times) and left as silently as I arrived, after feeding his fish.

Clerks: Not nearly as funny as I had been led to expect. Actually, not really very funny at all.

Mallrats: Abysmal. A few laughs here and there, but the overall movie was ruined by Jason Lee DELIVERING EVERY LINE AS A SHOUT as opposed to actually acting, and Claire Forlani's wooden vapidness. It's also one of Ben Affleck's earliest adult roles, and is a marked contrast to my memories of him in Voyage of the Mimi. Thankfully, he at least lost the horrible haircut. And the movie does feature Michael Rooker's dancing naked. Sadly, only his majestic bum is shown. And Joey Lauren Adams reminds me so much of a girl I used to date years and years ago, it's slightly frightening.

Clerks 2: I've seen this one before, and I really was looking forward to this one, mainly for Jay's chapstick scene and the discussion of PillowPants, but sadly the disk is a previous rental copy and was too scratched to play.

I haven't watched Chasing Amy yet, since it's on VHS, or Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back since it has Will Ferrell.
