Talked to my dad Sunday. He's going back soon for his 30-day check up and medication injection. While there is still no time frame given for his survival, the latest bone scan pretty much shows the cancer is everywhere- ribs, back, knees, etc. Considering all the small health issues he's had over the years with borken ribs, bad back and knees hit with chainsaws, he said it's possible that he's been in pain from the cancer for a long time, and just didn't know it, because everything already hurt.
He's taking the one-year anniversary of mom's death pretty tough. Additionally, his girlfriend's dog died over the weekend. So, while he's trying to stay upbeat, he's pretty beaten down. Wish there was more I could do from 2,000 miles away. About all I can manage is to pre-configure a wireless router for him to set up once I send to him, so he can get netflix on his new tv wirelessly.
(I misspelled broken by accident, but borken fits so much better I left it.)
