I'm writing my February column tonight. I really had bad feelings going into it, because of how disappointed I was with January's column. It's just now that I realize I wasn't so much disappointed with the column as I was disappointed with myself, because I couldn't write a good enough column in just 1-2 drafts.

So, here I was looking at a page of notes three hours ago, afraid of failing to live up to my own expectations again. Three hours and numerous revisions later, I have a column I'm pleased with.

I really need to learn to let myself relax and just get the job done.
