Ah hell, may as well go ahead and do this.

I got four hours of sleep today, and then went outside and worked in the yard from 2 until Doctor Who came on at 7. I've been painting the trim, and I finished today. It's not perfect; but it's better than it was. Especially when Jinx kept stealing the ladder from me, by climbing to the top and refusing to get down.

Tomorrow, Andy and I will tackle the skirting on the house. It needs repairs in some places; replaced in others; and painted all over. Just general maintenance before winter sets in.

This past week, the five nominees for Best Script in the 72 Fest were announced, one each day, in astonishingly annoying video clips. I was not chosen. But there's always next year- I do plan on doing this again, and i am still surprised and delighted to have been a finalist at all. I truly hope my script is made into a film, because that would be amazing. I've heard words I've written turned into a hit song, and now I have the chance to see them on a screen.

Pretty cool, that.

Now that the winner has been chosen, I'm free to share my script. I'll do so in the next post.

I also sucessfully negotiated an agrement with the newspaper for the columns I write, that not only gurantees I retain ownership of all that are published in the futre, but also returns ownership to me of all that have already been published. And the first one went out Wednesday ... which was also the most recent one I wrote. I'm in the position now where I'll be writing my monthly column, but it won't always go to press the same month I write it. Not sure which one will be next. And I still need to write a new one this month.

Other than that, the week has been mostly quiet. Borderlands 2 came out on Tuesday, and Andy and I played it all evening. Wednesday, I did more painting, then on Thursday, Torchlight 2 came out, and we played that all evening. Torchlight 2 has already madeup for the horrible dissapointments that were Diabo 3 and Dungeon Siege 3. This game is a treat..

Until next week, y'all.
