Weekly update

Not much to write about- I took the weekend off to take advantage of the holiday today, so I've spent three days cleaning and organzing the house. Catching up on all those things I put off because I don't have weekends.

I did get a raise at the hotel, which was nice. I still don't get paid what I should, of course, but I'm happier with what I have now. Of course, the same day I got my first paycheck with the new wage, the owner starts questioning everything I've been doing and turning in for payment (after I was told I wasn't expected to do anything different!) essentially looking for ways to cut back on my time.

*sigh*

PS- Here are pictures of my grandfather's razor. I sent it off to be cleaned this week; it will be nice to see how it looks when it comes back!

My grandfather died in 1978 when I was 8. This is really the only thing of his that I have.

My thoughts on the latest Doctor Who episode (Spoiler Free)

It was good, punched almost all the right buttons; some of the effects were dodgy; and apparently I'm the only person on the internet who didn't fall madly for Oswin.

I thought she was really, really annoying.

I'm honestly not entirely sure what the plot was- the episode was broken into twice for a severe weather emergency alert, so I lost around 10-15 minutes of broadcast total, once at the beginning and once in the middle. Going to have to watch it again to see what I missed.
