Before I post my mega-huge-pic-spam recap of my trip, here's a few other things:
I lost my super-awesome $35 LED flashlight while I was there. That sucks.
When I unpacked my luggage, there was a paper note inside saying that it had been inspected by the TSA. Everything appears to fine; but I haven't been able to find my grandfather's safety razor, and I know I packed it in there. :(
Monday evening after I returned, Andy and I went and stocked up on groceries. Tuesday, our fridge broke and blew hot air inside the entire day. We threw out almost all the contents (a few things from the freezer were salvageable) and it was probably around $300 of food tossed out, at least. Of course, when the repairman got there the next day, the fridge was running fine. He thinks it overheated and shut off the compressor, so no cold. He told us how to clean it our underneath, which we did. Thursday, we went and bought a few groceries and gingerly placed them in the fridge, but it's been doing fine ever since.
And the results of my father's bone scan? This was the first one he's had since one was done before he started chemo, and ... the cancer has not spread any further. It's stopped. For now. This is far better news than anyone even dreamed of!
