I have so many things I want to accomplish, that I think it has overwhelmed me to the point that instead of trying to do anything, it's easier to do nothing.
This is obviously not a acceptable state to be in.
Back when I used to give suicidal kids advice on how to make it through the rough times (not sure I was really qualified, but whatever) I used to tell them that when life became too much, to break it down until it wasn't. Take things day by day, or hour by hour, or minute by minute, second by second, whatever it took to move forward. And I think that's what I need to do here- I need to make a list of goals, and break them down into easily accomplishable chunks.
So. Here's my list of goals:
1- Get my A+ Certifications. Finally. I really need to get my coupons and set a date for the test, give myself a deadline.
2- Organize my portfolio. I've started on the first chunk for this one, by ordering the portfolio itself.
3- Start organizing my columns into a book that I can add onto every month. So that when I want to publish it, it's already mostly done.
4- Get my websites up. I need to learn about Muse first. So print out the damn PDF already. I have a deadline for this, because Muse is only free until the end of the year.
5- Jelly Heads. This is near the end of the list, because I need to draw them first, then talk to the writer I want to work with, then make them into a website, etc, etc.
6- Universe in The Red. Can't say much about this project except it comes from the heart.
7- Get my previous book re-done for self publishing.
8- Track down all the material I collected for my second book, and put it together.
9- Get ready to move. See, I realized I'm afraid of moving. But I need to. Because I'm stifled here and it's killing me.
10- Learn about alternative photographic processes and finally start doing some work again.
11- Get my bills paid off (Working on this one. Just paid off one of my charge accounts today!) Save money for moving.
12- Get dentures. For a long time, I didn't have dental insurance. So, it was cheaper to pull a tooth than it was to fix a tooth. I'm missing a LOT of teeth. I wanted to get implants, but that's about 5x the cost of dentures, and I'm tired of looking like a Jack O' Lantern
I'm sure there's more for this list than what I can think of right now.
