Overwhelmed!
Jul. 20th, 2007 10:29 amI like far too much on the interwebs. I have pages that I read daily, daily emails that I read in bulk weekly, journals and blogs that I read whenever I get a chance... Seriously, I have so much "information overload" going on, that I'm trying to find time to get other things done, like reading a book, or sorting things in my room, or bathing. Normally, my overnights at the hotel are spent catching up on columns and blogs etc... so I'm going to try an experiment to see if I can speed-bump the process a little. I'm not going to take my laptop to the hotel tonight- instead, I'm going to take a book, and some magazines, and other things that I've been meaning to read and look over, like my insurance papers and that doctor's report. Lying in the Gutters and James Randi and Snopes are just going to have to wait a night.
Mostly, I need to alleviate the self-induced pressure I'm putting on my self to stay on top of these things, giving them more importance than they relatively deserve.
