New old poem find
Oct. 22nd, 2005 05:08 pmWhile sorting through various files on my computer, I found this one
from about 3 years ago. I don't know if I've ever shared it in any way.
Probably, but here it is anyway.
Prism
11/13/2002
The Outsider
With a bang
Out of nothingness
Comes light
Split into separates
Light
Then dark
Once again
Everything in this world
Has become
Everything
That it should
Not
Be
There is nothing
Like me
Without you
No more pages
To rip blankly
From my soul
No more emotions
To bend into words
My sense split
When I passed through you
A prismatic refraction
Into my most basic emotions
I cannot be whole again
Until I pass though you
Once more
I know now
Just how much
You care for me
How deeply
Your affection
My affliction
Goes:
More than you’ll ever admit
And less than I
Will always hope for
Never to be
Never to be light again
No matter how badly
I want you to be
The reason
For bent emotions
Forming words
No more pages
To rip blankly
From my soul
There is nothing-
Like me
Without you
And everything in this world
Has become
Everything that
It should not
Be
Probably, but here it is anyway.
