In an facebook discussion over the unconstitutionality of the National Day of Prayer, the supporter of the day quickly ran out of pertinent points to make, and began stating that the whole discussion was "stupid" and that the opinions of others "didn't matter" and they were simply a "handful of whiners." After pointing out that if an argument is considered stupid by one side, theirs can then be considered equally stupid by the opposite side, she said "you need a weight loss program really bad. you will feel better when you do."

Erm, whut?

I observed that she was resorting to personal attacks when her arguments failed. She returned with "well, what are you doing with all of that space you are taking up? Why are you in my box loser!"

This argument was taking place on someone ELSE'S wall, which SHE choose to take part in.

I was left shaking my head. But later, the discussion moved to another post on the original poster's wall, when she told him that " it is going to take me a VERY LONG time to get over having that 'Tim' person show up in my box."

I pointed out that "Not once did I say anything bad about you as a person, so I'm not sure what you have to "get over" when you are the one who repeatedly made personal attacks."

She replied, "My box was VIOLATED!!!!!!"

And that is were I became helpless with laughter. I should have known better than to argue with someone who patently believes that they are right, because they say they are.
