We now return ... etc.
Nov. 4th, 2009 12:31 pmAnd vacation is over. We arrived home last night at about 9:30 p.m., and I promptly ran to the office to help put the paper to bed. It was a good trip, got me thinking about a lot things, including the possibility of moving back to Albuquerque. I have mixed feelings about that which I really need to work through before I make my decision.
Meanwhile- here are some photos!
This is the weather we were driving through. It doesn't look bad, but the road was layered sheets of ice in places, and the wind was gusting up to 60 mph. A lot of times the snow was flying horizontally. We saw many birds flapping their poor little wings like crazy, just to stay in one spot.

The Wheatland Best Western, where we were staying. The staff was lovely to us.

Wheatland, Wyoming.

Headin' down the highway.
Now, it's time for Halloween:

Ryan and his girlfriend zombie enjoying a drink.

Tony and Donna. Donna took third prize as "Zombie Pin-up girl" and Tony would have beena very close fourth.

Frankie stood close to eight feet tall. He took first prize. He likes standing still and pretending to be a decoration, then scaring people who came for a closer look.

Me and Andy. A simple mask really did make me look creepy, lol. Too bad I can't sing show tunes.
Here I am with my friend and former coworker, Woody. I told him the next time he sees me, it will probably be with a resume in my hand.

All in all, a good trip. Although I could have lived with a little less time in topless bars, lol. Ryan said I'm a stripper magnet, because they all like to wander up to me and touch me, leaving everyone else alone. Must be the tie.
