WTF

U.S. buyers snap up iPhones
Brandon Saunders, 16, had been saving his allowance and birthday money for months to get one of Apple Inc.'s coveted iPhones.

WTF? Those phones cost _at least_ $500. The longest he's possibly been saving is since February, when it was announced... how much allowance and birthday money does this kid _get_?

I'm getting old.

That aint the half of it....

AT&T has exclusive contract for the iPhone and so you have to sign up for a 2 year deal upon purchase and that deal on top of the $500-600 (depending on storage capacity) is over $2500. $2500 for 2 years of service! seriously WTF?!

So where does the kid come up with the money for the plan to use the phone?
