It's a fast growing tumor. It's about 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Because of her MS, the surgeon will not operate. They are meeting with a radiologist in the morning to see what treatment options are available that are non-surgical.While the radiologist will be able to give a more concrete estimate, the surgeon is guessing that if all goes well with radiation therapy, she could have as long as a year.
To fight MS bravely for 21 years and then to suddenly end up with a brain tumor- I don't want to say it's unfair, because the universe doesn't deal in fair and unfair. But I don't know how else to describe it.

This picture was taken one week ago; my mother with my 3 month old nephew, Kyle. She's 63.

That photo is beautiful. I'm so glad she hasn't missed out on the little guy, and vice versa.

I always new that this day would come, and I figured I'd just deal with it then. But now that the day is here, I can't figure out how to deal with it. I think I'm still distancing myself from it.

Your mother has a beautiful smile. I hope she can recover.
