Monday
I met with the new psychiatrist today, and ... she was nice. Professional. Good at asking questions without uncomfortable probing (That's what SHE said!)
(Wait ... I never get that joke right.)
Anyway, she was interested in seeing my most recent labwork results (I didn't think to take them with me) and was also fascinated by my reaction (or lack of) to alcohol and recreational drugs, seeming to think there is a small chance it is biologically related to a gland of some sort in my brain which she didn't tell me the name of. She was also fascinated by the SuperLiver, and that no cause for my over-eager liver enzymes was ever found.
I liked that she was just as interested in my physicality as she was with my brainality and mentality. She asked me to consider therapy once again, but did not push it on me, which I appreciated. She prescribed 30 mgs of Cymbalta to take daily, and I'll be back to see her in two weeks.
