I just finished reading "Warbreaker" by Brandon Sanderson. Go get yourself a copy of this book now and put it at the top of your stack. It's a completely new (to me at least) take on sword and sorcery fantasy, with a deliciously bendy plot and excellent characters; male and female protagonist given equal time to shine. It's been a long time since I read a book that made me want to stay up late to read 'just one more chapter' ... but this one did it. Highly recommended.
